As per the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), this compound called quinine is restricted to medical activities only. If it is used on a daily basis, there are chances of health hazards which isn’t a good news at all!

Although consuming tonic water will not lead to quick outbursts of negative symptoms, but there is a certain category of people who must avoid it totally. People with abnormal heart rhythm or low blood sugar, need not consume much of this carbonated water. In addition, individuals with liver or kidney ailment should stay away from this beverage.

Adverse Effects of Tonic Water
One must always remember that too much of anything is harmful. Regular or frequent intake of tonic water can cause side effects such as nausea, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, nervousness and vomiting. Looking at the serious severe side effects, there are bleeding problems, abnormal heartbeat and kidney damage, which can follow.
